The
BLAKELEY GAZETTE
is the newsletter of the Blakeley One Name Study Group.
Its function is to keep members informed about Blakeley news of
any kind. It also serves to keep members in touch with each other
and to pass on their findings and research to other members. As
the members live around the world, in thr U/K, U.S.A., Canada,
Australia & New Zealand, this allows all their Blakeley findings
to be passed around and this sometimes results in further
information from other members following the same Blakeley line.
We have had several members discovering new cousins from our membership!
We ask members to look out for ANY Blakeley record or data (even
though it might not be in their own line) and to record it and
pass it to the editor, Jim Blakeley. This way we can add to the
Blakeley databases we hold.
The GAZETTE is published Quarterly, dated January, April,
July and October. It is sent out in the months preceding
these date. There is a small charge for membership to cover the
cost of printing the GAZETTE and postage. More than half
the cost of producing the GAZETTE is in the postage costs!
It is sent by airmail to addresses overseas (from U/K).
New
format for Gazette planned for 2010.
We
are in the process of making the gazette 'go digital!' and are
hoping to be able to email it to all members as a pdf in the future.
(Paper copies will still be available if
preferred).
We welcome all Blakeley researchers, including beginners, to join
our ranks - for detals on how to join, go to the 'Join
Us' Page.
